Dundee and Angus College is delighted to announce that the Flexible Workforce Development Fund is open once again!
The Fund enables employers to address any skills gaps in their organisation and the College can continue to support them by offering a suite of training specially designed to help them recover and flourish.
Caryn Gibson, Economic Partnerships Manager, says, “To deliver the fund we now have a brand new Business Partnerships Team. Our highly skilled and experienced Skills Advisors will engage with businesses and carry out an in-depth training needs analysis to identify how they can support them to access the appropriate training through funding.
“We have been working closely with our curriculum departments to create a training portfolio that is designed to support businesses with transformation and growth. We have also recruited 17 new trainers who are specialists across a vast range of subjects meaning we can support any business with any challenge.”
One local business that knows the benefit of the FWDF is Dover Fueling Solutions. Trish Anderson, Manufacturing Production Training Lead, explains, “Dundee and Angus College made the application process for the Flexible Workforce Development Fund seamless. They have been incredibly supportive over the last two years and this funding has allowed our workforce to have access to external IT Training, such as Excel and Outlook, alongside leadership courses and bespoke courses such as ISO Awareness. D&A have always responded in a timely manner to any queries we have and have been flexible in the delivery times to support our production employees. Having access to the Flexible Workforce Development Fund has allowed us to build relationships with our local college and to tap into both traditional and new course material.”
